We have received an amazing donation from Julie’s family, following the fantastic care her mother received from HDFT’s Palliative Care Team and District Nursing Team.
After Julie was diagnosed with untreatable cancer, she wished to receive care at home in the company of her family who were supported by our Palliative Care Team and District Nursing Team.
Amanda Hampton and her family (pictured) have raised the money to enhance staff wellbeing for both of the Teams.
In her family’s own words: Julie was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In her working life she was a psychotherapist who helped to transform the lives of many. She placed family and relationships at the core of all she did and her ability to help and support in a gentle, but challenging way was key to her life’s work.
