I am delighted to be getting involved in the epic challenge of taking on the National Three Peaks in 24 hours in May 2025.  I am used to covering large distances, however not the mountainous type and I am doing this in aid of the Great Start in Life Foundation, a cause close to my heart supporting children and young people in the communities they live within across Yorkshire and the North East.

With these funds, support for children and young people across the Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trusts (HDFT) footprint will enable them to have a Great Start In Life such as providing;

  • Emergency Infant Formula milk during crisis
  • Hygiene packs for children and young people living in poverty, this can make sure a difference in their confidence and relationships with peers
  • Tactile objects such as stress balls which support children and young people to remember what they have learned from emotional health promotion
  • Specialist Tablets to support capturing the voice and lived experience of children with SEND
  • Food parcels for those who may be experiencing financial difficulties or activities for children and young people to get involved with within their local areas.

Your support of me undertaking this challenge will help make life changing differences for the 600,000 children and young people who access the services in HDFTs Health Visitor and School Nurse Service, every £1 raised will make a significant difference to our future generations.
