Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity (HHCC) are thrilled to announce the return of our Stepathon 2025 on Thursday 5 June at Harrogate District Hospital (HDH). This is our first event of our 30th Birthday celebration event calendar, celebrating 30 years of enhancing the quality of healthcare service and supporting staff wellbeing beyond core NHS funding for Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT). As National Volunteer Week starts on Monday 2 June until Sunday 8 June, we will also be celebrating the wonderful impact volunteers have had and continue to have at HDFT over the years as part of this event.

We are thrilled to kick off our celebrations by collectively walking 300km around the perimeter of Harrogate District Hospital to raise funds for cancer diagnostic equipment, designed to help reduce diagnosis time. This new AI technology will be utilised to interpret breast cancer markers at the molecular level. These results will then assist in determining an appropriate treatment plan for the patient; therefore enhancing patient experience  Join us in walking 3 laps, 30 laps, 30km or 30 miles to help us reach our goal!

Our Stepathon is open to everyone and we would love to see as many of our HHCC supporters, HDFT colleagues and volunteers there as possible. Click here to sign up to one of our participant packages. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 5 June 2025 to kick off our 30th Birthday and celebrate our fantastic volunteers!

If you are unable to reach HDH on 5 June, why not hold your own Stepathon at your workplace? Email us at hdft.hhcc@nhs.net to find out more information on how you can do this.
