Yvonne’s Fundraising for Great Start in Life
I am delighted to be getting involved in some epic challenges during 2025 by taking on; The National Three Peaks in 24 hours from 2 – 3 May 30K Stepathon whilst celebrating HHCC’s 30th Birthday on 5 June The Great North Run on 7 September. I am doing these phenomenal challenges in aid of the Great Start in Life Foundation, a cause close to my heart supporting children and young people in the communities they live within across Yorkshire and the North East. Anthony Henson Yorkshire Three Peaks for Active Against Cancer
It has been nearly two and a half years since my diagnosis of incurable pancreatic and liver cancer and six months since I completed my eight month Lutathera treatment. The three month scan was very positive and indicates that I will hopefully have another two years of life with limited additional medical requirements beyond my daily pills and monthly injections. For this I cannot thank the wonderful Doctors and Nurses of the NHS enough for giving me and my family a new hope. Yorkshire Three Peaks – Gemma
I have always loved the outdoors and have recently spent more time exploring local footpaths and areas of outstanding natural beauty resulting in my first climb up Munro in Glencoe. This has lead to the decision of taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks on Sunday 15 September 2024! This will be an excellent way to challenge myself as well as raising money for a cause that is close to my heart, Active Against Cancer (AAC) as part of Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity (HHCC).
