Each Christmas, many adults spend the festive season in hospital, away from the warmth of home, the laughter of loved ones, and the magic of Christmas morning. This year, Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity (HHCC) is inviting you to help us bring comfort, care, and a little Christmas sparkle to patients spending their festive period in Harrogate District Hospital (HDH).
Our Adult Gifting Campaign spreads festive cheer across HDH. We’re calling on local businesses, schools, community groups, and individuals to donate filled gift bags or boxes for adult patients staying in hospital this Christmas. Every gift, no matter how small, can make a huge difference, turning a hospital ward into a place of warmth, kindness, and joy.
Visit the HHCC Giving Tree
This Christmas, the HHCC Giving Tree will stand proudly at the main entrance of Harrogate District Hospital from Tuesday 18 November 2025. Hanging from its branches will be special gift tags, each representing a patient, with simple details to help you buy the perfect gifts.
Each tag also includes a handy QR code, linking straight to our Adult Gifting Campaign webpage, where you’ll find everything you need to take part — including gifting guidelines, drop-off points, and ideas for what to include in your gift.
No tag? No problem!
You don’t need a gift tag to take part. Anyone can donate a filled gift bag or box; simply follow our gifting guidelines and drop it off at one of our collection points. Your thoughtfulness will brighten someone’s day, even if you never meet them.
Drop off points
Once you’ve organised your gift, you can drop off your adult gifting donations at one of two convenient Harrogate locations: the main reception at Harrogate District Hospital or our Corporate Partner, Starling Independent Bar & Café in Harrogate Town Centre, HG1 1PW.
Can’t Visit in Person? You Can Still Make a Difference
We understand that not everyone can get to the Giving Tree. That’s why we’re also accepting monetary donations towards the campaign. Fill out your details below to donate £15 which will help us purchase thoughtful gifts on your behalf, ensuring every adult patient receives something special this Christmas over our 370 beds.
