Statement from the Organisers

It is with great regret we must announce that due to the continuing public health crisis, we are prevented from being able to commence concert rehearsals.

The consequence of this is we are unable to prepare for and perform the Proms Concert originally planned for 27th June 2020.

Sadly, we know that this will come as no surprise to anyone in the light of the ever increasing restrictions to which the public is already subjected – and will continue to be subjected for an as yet unknown period of time.

It is our intention now to perform this concert on 26th June 2021.

We have been enormously grateful to our sponsors and volunteer singers for their tremendous support. Thank you all.

We shall be contacting everyone on an individual basis to confirm the more detailed arrangements, but our intention is to recommence preparations for the 2021 concert as soon it is feasible to do so.

We do not know at the moment when this will be, however we will keep everyone updated.

The Box Office will be notified and tickets purchased for the concert will be valid for the later date.

Over the next few months, our wonderful NHS staff will be facing unprecedented challenges and we are sure that this will only increase the public’s support for them and for this delayed event once the crisis has passed.
